At the end of 2013, Crown moved in to our new home at 80 Anzac Avenue, Auckland City, 900 metres from our old location.
We’re now settling in nicely! Almost one hundred Crown English students have been enjoying the new space since classes recommenced on 6 January 2014 and last week, Crown Business, Travel and Hospitality students recommenced their studies.
Students seem to love the common area on level six (the top floor), which even has a little view of the Waitemata Harbour! Hye-Ran and Yoshie (Crown’s Korean and Japanese Student Counsellors) have their desks on this floor, too. There’s even a lovely deck for some fresh air.
There are some exciting facilities still being installed in the building in coming weeks including a commercial cafe, so watch this space!
We hope you can visit us at 80 Anzac soon.

Crown’s governance committee board (GCB) held its inaugural meeting today. Over a fine dining lunch hosted by the Northern Club, Dr. Josephine Do introduced the stellar cast to staff members and then outlined the Institute’s aims and objectives. GCB members listened attentively, occasionally interjecting with clarifying and perceptive questions. Constructive advice flowed generously. From this positive and affirming meeting emerged a list of action points that staff will be working on over the next quarter.
