The National Diploma in Hospitality Management (level five on the national framework) is a widely recognised and highly regarded qualification, not just in New Zealand, but overseas as well. Crown Institute has been offering the course for over twelve years now and we’ve seen hundreds of graduates gain exciting jobs in a variety of different areas in the hospitality industry.
The Crown course is comprised of four fourteen-week terms, a total on just 56 weeks. Each term students gain a thorough understanding of skills required to work in the hospitality sector including…

- Business management
- Food and beverage management
- Human resource management
Along with the National Diploma in Hospitality Management students also gain the City & Guilds (London) Diploma in Reception Operations and Services and the National Certificate in Hospitality Front Office Level 3.
Our students are encouraged to take part in Crown‘s Work Experience Programme as part of their training. And by completing just three more business papers, you can also achieve the New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) Diploma in Management (level five).
