At our annual Industry Day, on 14 November 2013, numerous Crown Institute of Studies students secured interviews with some leading Auckland businesses and lots more did some great networking, which we’re sure will mean several will have secured jobs before graduating!
At this year’s event, students met with representatives from a variety of entities including ANZ, Base Travel, Sky City, Frog Recruitment, City Life, Function Staff, STA Travel, Auckland Museum, Contiki, The Langham, Stray Travel, Kiwi Experience, Accor, Student Job Search, Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand and Quinn Recruitment. We would like to thank all of these companies for their participation.
“We love working with Crown Institute of Studies students and their graduates. I find they are work-ready and have all the required knowledge and training so they can step into any type of hospitality role without further training,” says Troy Huston, owner of Function Staff.
Industry Days are an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the organisations they could work for in the future, learn about the different career paths they could take and present themselves as potential employees. We have had excellent positive feedback about the event from the both the participating industry reps and our students.
