HOW?

  • 3 days of intense training (2.5 hours per day) 
  • Train for 3 Tuesdays or 3 Thursdays  
  • 100% hands-on. 
  • Maximum of 6 trainees

COURSE CONTENTS

Gain barista skills from hands on training from 3 coffee machines and 3 grinders.  Each trainee will be provided a training kit including materials to handle all espresso equipment confidently. 

Bean varieties, roasts, blends and calibrating 

Learn the importance of coffee bean varieties, roasts, blends and calibrating 

  • Understand tasting of espresso qualities                    
  • Gain understanding of coffee roasting and processes. 
  • Confident in adjusting grind size to achieve target notes. 
  • Changing dosage of grind for increase or decrease body 

Brewing 

Gain technical understanding in coffee brewing, and have the ability to read, blend and dialing grinds to adjust the grinds to desired taste.

Steaming 

  • Gain understanding of properly steaming milk for various types of milk products including plant- based options 
  • Understand foam difference of beverages (flat white, latte, cappuccino) 
  • Understand the timing of inserting air and transitioning to texturing

Learn the beverages 

Learn how to confidently prepare and present visually appealing and tasty hot and cold espresso beverages from Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White to Long Black.

Machine and equipment Maintenance

  • Problem solving  
  • Cleaning group head/steam nozzle
  • Portafilter cleaning
