This diploma-level programme is structured to provide a business management view of New Zealand’s travel and tourism industry. This course emphasises identifying opportunities and communication skills for future leaders of the industry.
This course will teach you how to ‘think like a manager’. You will gain insight into financial operations, how to successfully manage and train staff, provide world class experiences for guests, and identify opportunities. You will complete the LCQ qualification, and will also complete a work placement in one of our partner organisations where you will get to put your skills into practice!
“Travel as you learn” is an immersive learning experience where some of the classes in your programme will be held in various regions of New Zealand’s North Island. It is not an ordinary educational trip as the modules and learning outcomes of the programmes are mapped to the itinerary. This is a journey where you will learn, observe and experience simultaneously, the “mobile classroom” will be a place where theory meets practice.
