In 2015, Crown offered potential students the chance to receive a scholarship of $1,000.00 for courses starting in February 2016.

These scholarships were available for Travel & Tourism, Hospitality and Business. Applicants were required to write a minimum 500 word essay outlining how studying their chosen course with Crown would help to achieve their career goals.

We had many great applications, however two stood above the rest.

Ginny Liu and Shanae Mihaere both submitted excellent essays, and we were very pleased to award each of them the Crown scholarship. Both Ginny and Shanae are studying the Crown Certificate in International Travel, Tourism and Airline Studies.

We caught up with Ginny and Shanae to ask them a couple of questions:

Why did you choose to study at Crown?

Ginny:
I really wanted to study Travel and Tourism, and my family recommended Crown as the best school in Auckland.

Shanae:
For me, it was the broad range of topics covered within the course. I really liked all  the variety offered.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

Ginny:
I would like to be an inbound travel agent. I love geography and learning about other countries, and would like to be able to invite tourists to experience our beautiful country!

Shanae:
I have always wanted to be a flight attendant. I already have a lot of travel experience and would love to continue visiting new places.

Crown has no doubt that both Ginny and Shanae will achieve their goals, and we want to congratulate them in receiving their scholarships. Well done, and all the best for a successful year!
